We take a look at some of the highlights at this year's Auckland Arts Festival.
The globally recognised event kicked off this week and runs until March 22 and showcases a thrilling line-up of local and international acts, performing across dance, music, theatre, visual arts and more.
This year also sees the return of Catch22 - last-minute tickets available for $22 from the Aotea Square box office.
There's something for everyone at this year's event but here are some of our favourites:
A world premiere - Groupe F, the French maestros of light, fire and pyrotechnics who wowed audiences at the festival last year return to the Auckland Domain with a brand-new show.
White Night
For one night on March 14 the city transforms with multiple events across Auckland.
More than 100 venues and locations from Devonport to Otara, Titirangi to the CBD, will boast free visual art, dance, music, poetry, and video events from 6pm until the clock strikes 12.
Free buses allow participants to travel across town or take a walk through your own neighbourhood for a look at what's on offer, White Night 2015's brand new web app, available at http://whitenight.aaf.co.nz/,
Othello: The Remix
Turning up the volume on Shakespeare's classic, Chicago Shakespeare Theater and hip hop sensations, Q Brothers, are bringing their smash international hit Othello: The Remix to The Bruce Mason Centre MArch 13-16..
It's an intense, high-energy version of Othello like no other, proving that Shakespeare was the original master of rhythm and rhyme.
Another New Zealand premiere is Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet - famous for its diverse dance repertoire, the 10-year-old, New York-based company integrates ballet with contemporary and popular dance, to give them an undeniably urban vibe.
In New Zealand for the first time, Cedar Lake performs three works by three innovative and contemporary choreographers.
