Auckland horologist Michael Cryns will give an illustrated talk on the restoration he and his team carried out on one of Auckland's oldest landmarks - the clock in the Art Gallery Tower.
The talk, which is free, is part of Auckland's Heritage Festival, and will take place in the auditorium at the Art Gallery on Sunday October 7, at 1pm.
The Aucklander met Mr Cryns last year when he explained his job as the horologist in charge of the Auckland Art Gallery's clock, "the prestige clock" in Auckland. It was made in Wellington and installed in Auckland in 1894.
He's also been the person responsible for keeping the Town Hall clock ticking.
"People like me are hard to find," he said of his skills.
