A man has been charged with manslaughter for allegedly accidentally shooting his partner north of Auckland this month.
Kowhai Medical Centre staff in Warkworth found the 20-year-old woman dead on the street, after she was taken there by her 21-year-old partner on December 4.
In North Shore District Court the judge said the summary of facts detailed how the man had been posing for photographs with a firearm.
He pointed the gun at his partner, who was taking the photos, when it went off, shooting her in the head, the court was told.
The name of the accused and the dead woman have been suppressed.
The man was remanded on bail until his next appearance.
