Finding Inspiration with the SKODA Fabia

Elegant, fun and sporty — these are the three key personalities that sum up the beautiful new ŠKODA Fabia with its Fresh European design. Judged car of the year and the overall winner in the UK's What Car Awards 2015, the Viva and ŠKODA collaboration highlighted these key three characteristics in a celebration of cutting edge design and fashion.

The resulting campaign highlighted three distinctive looks as captured by award winning Viva photographer Babiche Martens and styled by fashion editor Dan Ahwa. The first was a classic take on the ŠKODA Fabia with clean lines, elegant styling and shot against classical brick architecture. The second look took things to the extreme with a fun cocktail dress shot with the summer sun and sky high palm trees in the background and the third look took inspiration from vibrant colour blocking, with a sporty purple suit teamed against a yellow ŠKODA Fabia for an energetic take on that sports luxe trend.

The three images formed the basis for a successful competition that ran on Viva.co.nz where visitors could choose their favorite ŠKODA Fabia 'personality' (elegant, fun and sporty) and automatically enter into a draw to win their very own ŠKODA Fabia and a $3000 shopping spree with Dan.

Sanna O’Connor-Morberg was the overall winner, and as she was overseas, her mother Gunilla accepted the prize on her behalf, driving around in a new ŠKODA Fabia and visiting some favourite boutiques.

"The styling session with Gunilla was a great experience. We talked about what she likes beforehand and the pieces she needs in her wardrobe right now,” explained Dan. "Gunilla already has a very good eye and her personal style and taste is already great, so communicating ideas with her was easy. She tried on several pieces at some of her favourite stores and she valued having a second opinion so that she could make the right choice. She is particular with what she likes and it helped that she knows what worked for her so I was able to pinpoint certain pieces for her to try out."
