Rough weather could not stop the Wanganui Motorcycle Club from sorting out its winter series champions as the club got through its senior programme up at the Landguard Rd track on Sunday.
The fifth and final round of the Harvey Round Motors Isuzu Winter Championships was intended to be contested by over 150 riders, however the heavy morning rainfall saw the mini championships called off for the children's competitors, with their season prizegiving held at 10am.
WMC was still able to complete its nine divisions in A Grade, B Grade, Veterans and Juniors, including a practice run and three races each, as they started and finished the schedule early.
The Round 5 class winners were:
A Grade Overs: Richard Horne (75 points); A Grade Unders: Camden Butler (75); B Grade: Jaakan Horne (75); Junior 125cc: Zac Jillings (72); Junior 250cc: Oliver Dennison (72); Junior 8-12 85cc: Logan Kerrisk (72); Junior 13-16 85cc: Luka Freemantle (75); Veteran 35-44: Seamus Manson (75); Veteran 45+: Grant McKinlay (72).
