Rain kept three of the Coastal Challenge Cup matches off the pitch while having the final say in Weraroa's win over Matt Burke Engineering Marton Saracens at the Weraroa Domain on Saturday.
The home side got the victory via the Duckworth-Lewis method after they were comfortably above the required run rate with wickets in hand when the batsmen came off at 144-5 in the 28th over, chasing Marton's 162 all out.
Marton managed to get through to the 43rd over in their innings thanks to an anchoring 85 from opener Jason Harris.
Harris batted for over 40 overs, sharing in eight partnerships as the others came and went, while hitting 10 boundaries in his 109-ball knock.
His best support came through the middle order with Dominic Rayner (12), Dan Ford (16) and Chris Rayner (23), but no-one else stuck around long enough to get out of single figures, which included three ducks.
