Former Wanganui Rugby Union boss Dale Cobb has switched codes after a brief break from sports administration.
The Wanganui Golf Club board has announced Cobb has been appointed Golf Director/Facility Manager, replacing incumbent Norm Rapson who has stood down from the job.
Cobb is a well known Wanganui identity and has an extensive sporting and community network formed through his role as chief exective of the Wanganui Rugby Union from 2008 to 2014.
"Many aspects of that role are similar to those of our club and the board is confident that he has the skills to build on the foundation that has been so well laid by Norm Rapson," board chairman Graeme Meyers said in a newsletter to members.
"In recent times he has been the Operations Supervisor of Tranzit Coachlines. He has played golf and is keen to extend his knowledge of the game and its administration."
