Wanganui woodchoppers Rochelle Molan and Jackie Brown are off to tackle the Aussies again this year as linchpins of the New Zealand women's test team, the Axe Ferns.
Molan will be defending the single saw title she has won two years running in Adelaide, while Brown will be aiming for podium finishes.
The pair have been part of the New Zealand team for several years and are very much in-form this season, pairing up to win the double-handed saw title at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney. Molan also finished second in the single saw in Sydney, while Brown was runner-up in the underhand.
The pair and the Wanganui woodchopping fraternity will host the national women's team and the New Zealand under-21 men's team at a training session in August, before the Adelaide trip in September. The training session will be at a venue yet to be confirmed on August 15 in Wanganui.
