All seven of the main events on the card at the final Wanganui Stockcar and Speedway Club meeting of the season last weekend were hotly contested with New Zealand No1 Superstock driver Peter Rees claiming two.
The Manawatu-based driver won the West Coast Superstocks title over national No3 Graeme Barr, and the George Podujusky Memorial over the same opponent. Earlier in the evening on the rain-affected track, Rees finished second to son Asher in the Noel Kensington Memorial.
The Rivercity Cabs West Coast Stockcar title stayed at home with Dion Mooney prevailing over Ethan Rees, also a son of Peter.
Barr managed to make the winner's circle when he won the Craig Heibner Memorial with Shaun Pearson and Jordan Dare filling second and third to make it a Palmerston North trifecta.
Wanganui also posted a trifecta with John Caird, Steve Davie and Nathan Smith in the Ray Purdie Memorial.
