The Junior Black Stacks, including two from Wanganui, will not be attending the upcoming Asian Championships.
The speed stacking World Championships in the United States next year, however, is still on the agenda for Wanganui stackers Jasmine Anthony and Allanah Miller.
Unfortunately, because of a lack of numbers and a late withdrawal of two in the Kiwi team, the viability of the trip to Taiwan, with the many costs involved, simply became too difficult.
The good news is that those who had committed to the Asian Championships, including Anthony and Millar, were automatically selected for the Black Stacks in 2015.
The full team of Black Stacks for 2015 will be named following the Wellington Championships and those selected will have some time to consider their participation in next year's Worlds before firm commitments are needed for planning purposes.
