Speed stacking teenager Jasmine Anthony came third overall for females at the national championships, in Palmerston North at the weekend.
Having taken up the sport four years ago as a pupil at St Mary's School, the 13-year-old Anthony, who is now at Wanganui Girls College, had the third fastest time overall in the female division.
That 14.689-second result was added together from each individual event she competed in.
Coming third will be a big confidence boost ahead of August, as Anthony along with St Mary's Allanah Millar have been selected in the Junior Black Stacks team which will compete in Taiwan for the Asian Championships.
