If it was going to be anybody, it was going to be the legend.
Friday's story on Wanganui High School 1st XI's victory over Cullinane College at Victoria Park raised the question if anyone would have made better WHS bowling figures than young spinner Andrew Mackintosh, who took seven wickets for two runs in a 6.4-over spell.
Coach Andrew Lock was going to review all the old scorebooks and talk to his brother-in-law, another former WHS coach, about that prospect.
At Saturday's St Johns Tech match, Lock said he was shown a scrapbook that showed that in his youth, Wanganui stalwart Eric Head once cleaned out a Collegiate A XI by taking all 10 wickets for 11 runs in an innings of a C Grade (3rd grade) match.
Collegiate had been tracking well that day, scoring at least 120 runs before Head took them apart, one at a time.
