A former Glasgow judge who has had her own struggle with stress gives a one-day workshop on routes to wellbeing in Whanganui on Saturday.
Christian McNeill is in New Zealand visiting a friend and she's taking the opportunity to give a workshop as well. It's called Awakening Resilience and runs from 10am to 4pm in the Quiet Room at Whanganui's Quaker Settlement, 76 Virginia Rd.
The cost is a koha (donation) and the workshop will be more of a conversation than a talk, Ms McNeill said. It will include some simple exercises, for example in "deep listening".
She will take 20 participants at most, and it's suitable for anyone of any age or walk of life.
"I have worked with people from sports teams to people in their eighties, from prisoners to CEOs," she said.
