Graeme Stevenson from TV series Colour In Your Life is coming to Whanganui in early December.

Whanganui art lovers are in for a treat next month when Graeme Stevenson comes to town.

Mr Stevenson is a talented artist and the creator of visual arts television series, Colour In Your Life. Currently in its 14th season, Colour In Your Life screens in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and around the world.

Among the many things Colour In Your Life does is profile creative communities throughout the world. In late November and early December Mr Stevenson will be filming in Whanganui about the local arts scene.

Whanganui artist Jane Toy, from Fine Arts Whanganui, said Mr Stevenson has offered to extend an open invitation to Whanganui's creative community.

He will be speaking at the Fine Arts Whanganui gallery in Taupo Quay on December 2, at 6pm. All are welcome.

"He wants to know more about what makes Whanganui artists tick, as well share the interesting story of his own creative journey, as well as motivation and ideas for smaller town artists. His years of arts experience and his expertise in promotion and marketing in the visual arts will make for a not-to-be missed event," Ms Toy said.

Ms Toy said Mr Stevenson's filming in Whanganui had great potential for Whanganui as an arts destination.

"Whanganui has caught Graeme's eye and he's excited to be filming here."
