As the final week of the local body election campaign gets under way, the Chronicle is conducting a phone poll into voting preferences.
Our survey covers the Whanganui District Council mayoral contest, which has seven candidates - Helen Craig, Randhir Dahya, Andy Jarden, Hamish McDouall, William Osborne, Ray Stevens andAlan Taylor - seeking the chain of office.
The election closes at noon on Saturday, October 8, and we will be publishing the results of our phone poll on Friday morning, October 7.
So you may get a call from one of our team asking who you have voted for as mayor, or who you intend to vote for.
This poll is completely anonymous and no one's voting preference will be made public. We greatly appreciate the support of all who take part in the poll.
