Fans of the famous Cadillac will be able to view some of the country's best when the Cadillac La Salle Club of New Zealand holds its nationals and annual meeting in Wanganui next month.
The club has been running for just over 40 years and convener Bob Walker said it was probably the first time it had been held in Wanganui.
The city had a high number of classic cars per capita, Mr Walker said. "Therefore, the number of Cadillacs is pretty high as well."
He said New Zealanders had been importing the car for a long time, and it was the history of the luxury car that people were interested in.
"The thing about it, the Cadillac was never brought to New Zealand as a car to be bought off the shop floor. The Cadillac is the flagship of General Motors. It's just one of those cars."
