Cameron Bagrie is ANZ's chief economist. He caught up with The Country's Jamie Mackay today to talk about last night's GDT auction amongst other financial topics.
The GDT auction didn't bring up anything too exciting and Bagrie refers to it as "treading water" with its small increase of 0.6%.
Next up Mackay and Bagrie chew the fat over the highs and lows of the New Zealand exchange rate after comments made by Donald Trump and Theresa May.
Jamie also has two burning questions he wants answered - how much are interest rates going up and should you fix or float your mortgage?
Finally, the ever-competitive Mackay lays down a challenge to Cameron Bagrie - where will the NZ dollar be against the greenback in December 2017?
