Rotorua's house sales for March have picked up from a slow first two months of 2017.
Latest figures from the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand, released today, showed 135 residential properties sold in Rotorua in March.
It was a 42.1 per cent increase on the number of houses sold in February when 95 houses were sold. January saw 62 houses sold.
March figures were down compared with the same time last year, when 175 properties changed hands - a 22.9 per cent decrease.
The median sale price for March was $353,000, which was up just over 11.2 per cent on February's median of $317,500, and up 30.7 per cent on March 2016's median of $270,000.
