Locals get taste of top jazz act

That's Life is performing in Rotorua this weekend.

Jeff Smith brings That's Life jazz band from Auckland to Rotorua on Sunday. The group plays from 6 to 9pm in the Arawa Lounge of the Rotorua Racecourse, hosted by the Rotorua Jazz Club.

This highly acclaimed group includes Jeff Smith on vocals and keyboard, Gavin Law on trumpet and sax, Chris Sang on six-string guitar and U-Bass, and Jimmy Gibbs on drums.

This very talented band has played music with and accompanied a number of local jazz musicians in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty area.

They regularly perform at the, annual Bay of Islands Jazz Festival, and have supported many artists from New Orleans during this time.

They play a vast repertoire of jazz, blues and mainstream, and are happy to take requests. Doors open at the Arawa Lounge at 5pm.

There is a cash bar and meals are served after 6.30pm. Everyone who loves good music is welcome. Non-members $15, juniors $2, door sales only.
