The five-strong Rotorua BMX club contingent destined for the world championships in Rotterdam next week is putting the finishing touches on its Netherlands build-up.
The Stevens-McNab brothers - Lachlan, Wyatt and Sterling - with Megan Williams and Jeanette Davies, have performed strongly in a warm-up event in Las Vegas a week out from the start of the 2014 UCI BMX World Championships under the roof of the AHOY Arena.
All five qualified for the world championships with strong showings at the nationals in Tauranga over Easter and are considered real medal hopefuls.
Lachlan, ranked first in the world in the boys' 10-year-old division, is considered a real chance to claim a world title, while brother Wyatt is ranked third in the world in the boys 8-year-old class.
Younger brother Sterling, who is nationally ranked, will compete in the boys' 5- and 6-year-old field.
