Rotorua's popular summer concert series - Music in the Band Rotunda - returns to Government Gardens next month kicking off with two local bands - Finely Tuned and Off Broadway.
A number of local performers will be entertaining at free afternoon concerts for seven Sundays beginning on February 17.
Rotorua District Council community arts officer Marc Spijkerbosch said the aim was to profile the diverse musical talent in the district, with more than one band playing on some Sundays.
"This year's event is already proving to be quite popular, with many people inquiring about the new programme.
"I encourage local families to pack a picnic and come along to enjoy some great local music in a wonderful setting."
The Sunday events will feature jazz, blues, orchestral, brass and choral work with performances from 1pm until around 2.30pm.
The concerts are funded by the Rotorua District Council and the Rotorua Trust.
