Sympathies to the Avery family following the tragic death of their youngest son Paddy Avery. Paddy was an extremely talented rider and an awesome guy who had a positive impact on everyone he met.

Another fantastic rider taken way too soon. Paddy you're now free to rip-up the DJ's, hit the gaps on the DH and

shred to your heart's content! _ I remember someone once telling me, that Paddy was probably the best downhill rider that never rode DH !

I would ask at this time that we give our support and prayers to Maryann, Murray, Monique and Clinton. Once I have more information from the family I will keep you informed as to their wishes. As a sign of respect all Club races will be cancelled this week _ but I am sure that we will be having a big race for Paddy in the near future. Yours Sadly, Regards, Peter Clark, President Cycling Rotorua Inc.

Wow I can't believe what I just read!!! Paddy Avery was my best friend throughout intermediate! We had our good times and we had our bad times but he surely knows how to put a smile on someone's face. He was defiantly someone that I looked up to because he was always a talented person and a top athlete, whether it's running or biking or anything he does. Just can't believe that it's so soon that you were taken from us dude! I will always remember you and surely so will everyone else. Even though we may have not talked  for a few years, I'm still going to miss ya man! I send all my love to the Avery family!! R.I.P Paddy Avery

Gutted to hear what happened to Paddy Avery last night. everyone is going to miss that personality of yours. Thoughts are with you and your family.

My most sincere condolences go out to Murray, Maryann, Clinton and Monique for the terrible loss of Paddy. Kia kaha and arohanui.
