Police are searching for a man after a home invasion in central Wanganui.
The incident occured overnight on Friday and the offender fled the address when detected by the occupant.
The offender was described as a male Maori about 20 years of age, about 5'10" (1.78m), of solid build withshort dark curly hair about 1cm in length, and a medium complexion.
Clothing items of interest found nearby (pictured) are believed to belong to the offender, and police are seeking the assistance of the public to aid in the identification of this male or the clothing.
