The first Artisans Fair of the season was a success, attracting crowds of tourists and locals.

The summer fair, which hosts arts and crafts, food, and entertainment for kids, was held on Saturday on the Canopy Bridge.

It is the first year the markets have been run by Jodie Hannam, who took over from Kaari Schlebach.

"It went awesome. There were heaps of people, lots of tourists and stall holders were happy," said Ms Hannam.

Photographer Tania Whyte went along to capture all the action.
