Whangarei will resemble a scene out of the Middle Ages as dames, knights, damsels, fools and serfs descend upon Kiwi North.
The annual Medieval Madness event is back again this Sunday, with jousting, archery, rides and more.
Allie Fry, manager at Kiwi North, said the themed event was their most
popular of the year.
"I think it's because inside everybody there's someone wanting to get dressed up. I don't know if it's our Celtic links here or events like jousting," she said. "It's a great family day out."
Ms Fry said the event would host jousting at 11am and 2pm, a Celtic band called Clan Celtica, drumming and piping, and the costume parade.
