Missing teen's body washes up on 90 Mile Beach

The body of a 16 year old boy was washed up on 90 Mile Beach Northland today, 3 kilometres north of Hukatere.

It ended a five-day vigil by family, local people and police after the youth was dragged out to sea by a heavy undertow.

He and family members had been swimming on 90 Mile beach at Hukatere on the 27th of December 2014.

Police named the teenager as Jarod Lineses of Henderson, Auckland.
