Here's a Hawke's Bay club rugby feat unlikely to be matched anywhere in the country.
Former Tamatea Rugby and Sports Club president Don Hutana took the field for his club's reserve grade side against Napier Technical at Whitmore Park on Saturday at the age of 69. Both he and fellow club stalwart Paul Harris, 56, are coaching the team and both started in the 32-20 loss.
Hutana played 30 minutes.
"We only had 13 players including Paul and I. We didn't want to default for a second consecutive week ... I'll do anything for this club," Hutana said.
A regular zumba exponent, Hutana, works out at a gym twice a day. He played fullback and on the Tech side's put in at scrum time went into No8.
