Fashion hit the fairways when 110 golfers gathered at the Napier Golf Club's Waiohiki course for the Air New Zealand Plus Fours Golf Tournament yesterday.
The teams ambrose tournament was won by the European Design Kit team, with a nett score of 53.5.
The Air New Zealand team came in as runner-up, scoring a total of 53.8, and third was Russell Shand's Team, after recording a score of 54.5.
One of the biggest winners of the day was the lucky person whose name was randomly picked to win a trip to Australia. The tournament was officially opened by Art Deco ambassador Bertie, and golfing began following a shotgun start.
Napier Golf Club manager Russell Williamson said the tournament was a huge success.
"There was quite a variety of scores, but I think the main thing was everybody had a really good time" he said.
Wine tastings, vintage cars and putting competitions helped add to the flavour of the day.
Art deco dress was compulsory for those wanting to take part in the tournament.
