The Armed Offenders Squad were called to a domestic incident in Napier this evening.
Police were called to Wilkie Place in Greenmeadows about 5pm, Detective Sergeant Darren Pritchard said.
A 39-year-old man left in a car.
"We managed to locate the man close by and make a swift arrest," Mr
Pritchard said.
The arrested man faces domestic violence and drug-related charges.
He will appear in the Hastings District Court tomorrow.
