Many of the passengers of the Dawn Princess, the third cruise ship of the new season to call into Hawke's Bay, were seen holding onto their hats but were enjoying the blue skies and warm winds yesterday .
"Very nice, very enjoyable and I might get up and dance," one passenger, who gave his name as Tom and said he was from Adelaide, said as a good crowd enjoyed the Art-Deco-ish jazz and brass concert staged at the Sound Shell during the early afternoon.
The Dawn Princess arrived from Tauranga at 8.30am and set sail for Wellington at 6pm.
It was the first of its 10 scheduled voyages to Napier through until next April.
This month it will return again on the 8th and 21st.
The next liner due to arrive will be its sister ship the Sea Princess, next Sunday, with a further 13 cruise ship arrivals scheduled for November.
