Seasonal veges

Plant spinach, silverbeet, mizuna and rocket, adding sheep pellets or nitrogen-rich compost.

Fill in the gaps

If you have gravel or shell paths or patios, give them a good top-up to prevent them becoming sparse and muddy.

Combat moss

Keep moss out of your lawn by spraying now with a selective spray.

Kitchen garden

Plant shallot bulbs and you'll be able to use the green shoots as a substitute for chives. They're great grown in a terracotta tub close to the kitchen.
