Tauranga City Council is asking for feedback on the future look and feel of Durham St and Durham Lane as part of its investment to revitalise the city centre streetscape, open spaces and waterfront.
The community can share its thoughts (and free coffee and cake) with elected members and staff on May 4 between 11.30am and 1.30pm outside Trustpower on Durham St. Anyone that cannot make in on the day can email feedback to haveyoursay@tauranga.govt.nz.
The community feedback will help the council develop a design brief for this priority area.
The council has identified Durham St, Durham Lane, Elizabeth St east, The Strand Extension (southern end), Wharf St east, Aspen Reserve and Masonic Park as the key city centre streets and open spaces in the heart of the city that will be revitalised in the next three years.
City transformation general manager Jaine Lovell-Gadd said the way we used our city centre spaces and places was changing.
