A visiting artist is calling for volunteers to give her a hand with a masking tape installation.

Internationally recognised, Auckland-based artist Veronica Herber would be in town in two weeks' time to create a new site-specific work at Tauranga Art Gallery.

She was looking for people over 15 years of age with creative flair to help with the masking tape installastion called Continuum.

The work would be on display at the Gallery from October 17 until March next year.

"We need two people for each session and we are running two, 3 hour sessions per day between Thursday, October 13 and Tuesday, October 18, including the weekend.

"This means that we will need to fill around 22 sessions over the course of the installation," the Tauranga Art Gallery press statement said.

Volunteers must be reasonably fit, have a strong attention span, able to follow instructions and be good with your hands.

If this sounds like something you would like to do, please contact Tauranga Art Gallery by phone on (07) 578 7933 before midday on Monday, October 10.
