"I'm thrilled. This store has been only operating for six years and in that time we have sold two first division Lotto tickets, including a $2m ticket in March last year, and a Strike Four ticket worth just over $100,000 in February 2011," she said.
"Plus we've sold a $10,000 Instant Kiwi and few second division winning tickets. We're clearly a lucky store," she said.
"We're so happy for the $1m winner and really hope it's a local. It would be great if the winner comes back to the store to claim their win," Mrs Goebel said.
So far this year there have been 10 first division wins - Lotto, Powerball and Strike - in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty region, totalling $11.1 million.
