Sentencing for Oropi Quarries Ltd and its director Catherine Renner in relation to health and safety breaches following the death of employee Tane Hill-Ormsby has been adjourned until June.

The 24-year-old was crushed by the moxy dump truck he was driving on April 16 last year after it rolled.

The defendant company and Ms Renner were due to be sentenced in Tauranga District Court yesterday. But Judge Thomas Ingram adjourned matters until June 10 to enable further information about the defendants' financial positions to be put before the court.
