Tauranga City Council is keen for feedback on what people want for the heart of the city centre and will be in the CBD tomorrow to hear ideas.

Elected members and council staff will be in Red Square tomorrow from 11am to 1pm to hear the community's views as part of the Civic Space Options project.

Tauranga City Council is asking the community for their input on creating Tauranga's "civic heart" in the city centre, which will determine the best options for the council office accommodation and assess opportunities to create a world-class civic heart in the city centre.

Tomorrow's event is a continuation of the Civic Heart community engagement events have been held at Bayfair, The Little Big Markets Mount and Papamoa, Papamoa Plaza, Bethlehem Town Centre, Fraser Cove and in the city centre, as well as presentations to business and community groups.

To date, the council has received feedback from more than 2000 people on what experiences they expect to have in a civic heart.
