Fat, rags, wipes and plastic bottles are to blame for a sewerage overflow on Mansels Rd last week.
Tauranga City Council announced today the collective rubbish caused a blockage which affected the Courtney Rd wetland area leading to the Waimapu Estuary.
Follow up water quality tests have not yet givena clear result so health warning signs remain in place.
