Tauranga protesters have backed an international rally against the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA).
Hundreds gathered in Red Square from 1pm on Saturday with signs and placards as part of the Kiwis Fight Back: International Day of Action Against the TPPA.
More than 16,000 Kiwis had said they would attend one of the 16 rallies across New Zealand on Facebook event pages, with Tauranga's event page having the seventh largest number of attendees.
New Zealand is one of 12 countries involved in negotiating the TPPA that critics say goes further than trade talks.
They called on the Government to release the text of the negotiations so people could see exactly what was at stake.
