A Caravan Tour aimed at getting more children reading with the incentive of pizza will arrive in Te Puke next week.
Hell Pizza has announced the tour to travel to Wairoa, Gisborne, Whakatane and Te Puke from Sunday, arriving in Te Puke on Thursday July 17.
Hell began its North Island Caravan Tour this week. The first stop was Taranaki, followed by Horowhenua and Wanganui, then Northland, Gisborne and the wider Bay of Plenty.
Hell Pizza sponsors the 2014 LIANZA Children's Book Awards and distributes 100,000 '8-Book Pizza Wheels' to schools and libraries nationwide. Children read eight books and have them recorded on their wheel to be rewarded with a healthy '333 Kids Pizza'.
Hell general manager Ben Cumming says: "The Caravan Tour is a great opportunity to promote children's literacy and give kids in smaller NZ towns a chance to claim their free pizza; we can't wait to hit the road."
