Village radio is celebrating their 30th birthday this weekend at their station in the Historic Village.
The non commercial community station, run by volunteers, will celebrate their big day on April 13.
The eldest announcer at the station is in his 80s.
He and other volunteers donate a combined 200 hours of service per week to the listeners.

The radio station's first broadcast was on April 13, 1984, which coincided with the 21st anniversary of the City of Tauranga.
