More than 70 events are in this year's Annual Sustainable Backyards Calendar for Western Bay of Plenty.

Held every March the activities were used to inspire people to learn, take action and be involved in enhancing local and global environment and celebrate people working in the education, environment and conservation fields.

There was also a sustainable homes trail map involving nine open homes in the Western Bay and Tauranga where guests could view new eco-buildings through to retro-fitted houses all with a focus on sustainable living solutions.
