Over 600 students from Rhythmz Dance Company will perform in their annual showcase this year named "Born to Dance".

Carla Beazley, who established Rhythm Kids and Rhythmz Dance Company in 2008, directs.

The teachers are Rachel Sorensen, Tracey Olivier and Lisa Gould.

Carla and her team have been planning the show from the moment they finished last year's, with performers ages ranging from 3 to 83.

"Putting the shows together is an incredible experience. The logistics of the shows are enormous. There is a huge amount to consider and organise," she says.

In addition to the 600 performers, there are about 60 people working backstage.

"A couple of the performers will have up to eight costumes, hair and makeup changes for every show. Even the logistics of parents picking up their children after the show is a highly orchestrated mini-event," laughs Carla.

This is a fabulous opportunity to see some wonderful local talent so make sure you go along.

The shows will be held on November 24 and 25 at 2pm and 6pm each day at Bethlehem Theatre, on the Bethlehem College campus, 24 Elder Lane, Bethlehem.

Tickets can be purchased from Baycourt Theatre or online at www.ticketdirect.co.nz.

Rhythmz Dance Company shows have sold out every year so get in quick! Tickets are well priced, with family passes available.
