Tauranga's "dancing nana" Melva Cummins will star in a music video in Australia after an airline offered to pay for her flights.
The 82-year-old became a YouTube sensation after being caught on camera dancing at the Stretch Festival in Mandurah while visiting friends in Perth.
The band began a search to discover
the identity of the dancing nana, to invite her to appear in a music video.
Earlier this week Mrs Cummins' friends in Perth realised they knew who the dancing nana was and contacted the company.
Since then she has been fielding calls from Australian media, and on Wednesday she appeared on Campbell Live, on which an appeal was made for sponsorship to get her to Australia.
Jetstar offered to fly Mrs Cummins and her family to Perth for three nights in order for her to appear in the Brown Horn Orchestra video, which will be filmed on June 11.
"I was so happy to hear the news that Jetstar arranged flights for me and my family, my feet just took over - I was dancing all the way to my suitcase to start packing," she said.
"I never thought my moves in Mandurah would see me starring in a music video."
