CANBERRA - Firebrand former politician Pauline Hanson has a new nationalist song to go with a bid to re-enter politics.
Hanson is planning a political comeback on the back of concerns about African immigrants and Muslims.
But her policy for winning a Senate place would hinge on havingno policies, Hanson said yesterday, adding she just wanted to be a "voice for the people. I'm not going with policies. I don't need to advocate policies and I won't be doing that."
Hanson and her new partner, country music veteran Chris Callaghan, featured in newspapers yesterday wearing Australian flag T-shirts to unveil their new song How Proud We Are.
"Do it for the country, do it for the team. Do it for yourself, do it for the dream," the song's lyrics advised, without revealing exactly what "it" was. "To the top of the pile. How proud are we, so proud of you."
