SYDNEY - A woman claiming to be Kerry Packer's estranged daughter is obsessed with stalking James and Erica Packer, a lawyer for the family has told a court.
Sydney woman Teresa Wendy Jagla, 43, yesterday opposed an application by Erica Packer to enforce a temporary apprehended violence order against her.Magistrate Lee Gilmour last night granted the order for three years.
"Over time you've become more and more frustrated about banging your head up against the wall trying to contact the Packers," barrister Guy Newton, for the Packers, said to Jagla at Waverley Local Court yesterday.
Jagla admitted visiting the Packers' Bondi residence and James Packer's Park St offices in central Sydney on numerous occasions, trying to talk with him about "family matters".
In July 2008, Jagla also visited the hospital where Erica gave birth to daughter Indigo, in an attempt to speak with James Packer. Last September, Jagla allegedly ran after Erica Packer's car as it arrived at the Bondi residence. On each occasion she was told to go away by security personnel.
Jagla's solicitor, Paul Wiggins, said the requirements for an order to be granted had not been met.
