Oamaru Police are today interviewing two men following the fire bombing of a police officer's house last night.
A home-made molotov cocktail was thrown through a glass panel in the front door of the Hull Street house at about 10.30 pm.
Oamaru Senior Sergeant Ken Aldworth said today that Constable Bruce Ward, his wife, and their two young children were in the house at the time.
The bottle of explosive liquid started a small fire in the hall of the house which was put out by the family. Minor damage was caused.
The family was shaken by the incident but not hurt, Senior Sergeant Aldworth said.
Police were this morning talking to two men in connection with the incident.
