Early morning commuters suffered traffic chaos after a rogue wallaby was found bouncing down the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The wallaby crossed a number of lanes, jumping between cars before exiting onto the Cahill Expressway at 5am this morning.
Police gave chase to the hoppy animal before officers were able to pin down the wild wallaby.
Incredulous drivers called into 2GB radio to report the sighting.
"There was a little rock wallaby, I think it looked like, just standing in the middle of the road minding his own business" on the Cahill Expressway, one caller told the broadcaster.
"There was a police car following it at a slow pace, it was hopping down the street, that's Australia for you!" said Dean.
One person on Twitter wrote: "A Kangaroo on the Sydney Harbour Bridge ... it doesn't get more Australian than that! #Australia."
The wallaby has since been "arrested" and taken to Taronga Zoo to be checked over.
It is not known if the wallaby paid the Harbour Bridge road toll.
