An elite Sydney private school teacher has pleaded guilty to having sex with one of her students as news emerges she was warned about her behaviour towards students.
The woman had sex with a 17-year-old boy several times last year while she was his teacher at Sydney Grammar School, according to court documents. She wrote in his school report he was a "delight to teach".
"If all boys had his sense of humour and level of engagement with the world around them, then teachers would skip to school," she said.
She also "encouraged him to write down his sexual fantasies" and "had been repeatedly warned for years about her inappropriate behaviour around students", according to the Daily Telegraph.
On most occasions they had sex at the school, the documents said.
The pair arranged to have secret sex meetings at the school, including classrooms and storage areas, despite the victim "was scared to end the sexual relationship with the offender because he ... was worried she would self-harm".
"He repeatedly said to her, 'I can't' ... The offender responded to the complainant in a dismissive way saying, "what do you mean you can't?" the facts state.
The boy finally ended the relationship in April but the teacher continued to contact him until September.
He attempted suicide in the school toilets at the end of 2015.
