A video has emerged on social media showing a shark strapped to the front of a four-wheel-drive in Perth's outer southern suburbs.
Julie Wright shared the footage on the Perth and WA Fishing Reports page yesterday afternoon and it has already been viewed more than 330,000 times.
Ms Wright said she "had to look twice" when she saw the animal, which some commented could be a tiger shark, tied to the vehicle as it towed a boat in Safety Bay.
Police and the Department of Fisheries have been contacted for comment, but the Fisheries website says there is a maximum size for tiger sharks caught recreationally in WA.
