A poster advertisement for a university has been recalled after an image of a penis was spotted next to a posed female student.
The University of Queensland's outdoor campaign was on display for several days before eagle-eyed students spotted the addition and started posting about it on social media.
Ad agency Clemenger BBDO Brisbane was forced to take down the poster and have faced questions over how a staffer was able to add the rude drawing, and how it was not picked up during approval processes.
Students poked fun at the poster, joking about the phallic symbol on Facebook.
Pasta Choc Ai said: "Spotted something on the UQ advertisement at UQ chancellor bus station ... Not sure anyone has noticed it or not."
Clemenger said the issue had been dealt with, reported Mumbrella.
"The University became aware of an inappropriate image in some campaign material shortly after the campaign was launched," Clemenger said.
"We advised the agency, which immediately removed and replaced the offending collateral. Any further inquiries should be directed to the agency."
The company was asked to cover costs for the reprint and redistribution of the posters.
